FACULTY 12, COMPUTER SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS

CAMPUS BOCKENHEIM

Baby Diamond

Baby Diamond is Goethe University’s (and Hessen’s!) first quantum computer. Commissioned on 16 December 2024, it is based on nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in a synthetic diamond and operates at room temperature. The system features five qubits and is controlled using digital pulse electronics and lasers.

If you would like to visit the system or learn more about our work, please contact our secretary by email.
